Strawberry Vale Community Centre

This Community Centre for the Peabody Trust was designed in conjunction with HTA Architects to create a signature building at the entrance to Strawberry Vale Estate in Barnet housing a community hall, community rooms and offices.

The design challenge was to produce a robust building which also acted as a gateway to the Estate.  This was achieved by creating a hall with a steel framed structure with a curved roof floating on frameless glazing over the cornice of the masonry shell below – well out of harm’s way!
