Stores for electric buggies for Sheltered Housing Schemes
The purpose of the project was to provide dedicated stores for electric buggies used by residents in Gloucester City Homes’ sheltered housing schemes.
With the agreement of the client we augmented the brief to ensure the operation of the buggies was carbon neutral by incorporating photovoltaic cells into the design which provides electricity to charge the buggies. The scheme presents the largest installation of photovoltaic cells in Gloucester to date, on the roof of the flats at Clapham Court.
