Badbrook Hall Cohousing

Cohousing scheme to Passive House Standards

Badbrook Hall is a feasibility study for a new build Cohousing development for Cohousing Company Ltd. It contains 14 self-contained flats with shared facilities including a ‘Common House’ where residents can meet and dine together, a gym, guest room, laundry and extensive landscaped roof terrace at the top of the building.

It is located on a prominent corner site in Stroud and, designed to the German ‘Passive House’ Standards which exceed all UK standards, the building reflects the most contemporary thinking in sustainable design.

The exterior uses a palette of untreated English Oak and coloured joinery reflecting the distinctive colouring of the wild flowers indigenous to the Stroud Valleys, with extensive planting to the terraces of the building.
