The recent removal of the scaffolding on site at Talbot Road Multi Storey Car Park has unveiled the completed perimeter glass façade that uses the Reglit profile glass channels on a bespoke bracket support system with Jakob stainless steel wire mesh installed in the naturally ventilated openings.
This is accompanied with transparent polycarbonate from Rodeca running the height of the pedestrian core to the South and a faceted glazing design to the North pedestrian core, with views along Talbot Road to the pier.
Inside, the works to painting the parking decks and installation of lighting and signage continues.
The £6million refurbishment of the existing car park is a key element of the Talbot Gateway Blackpool Central Business District. Potter and Holmes Architects have worked closely with Tolent Construction, Muir Associates, Hannans Associates and Parking Matters to develop the design.
