Chapter 1’s self catering student accommodation centre in London’s Waterloo had its official reopening in January by Kate Hoey MP. The building was closed in 2010 for a complete refurbishment and extension with works taking place over 19 months. Since September 2012, it has housed students from Imperial College London. The building now accommodates 150 students, both male and female, with a mix of single and twin rooms with ensuite or shared bathrooms and also has rooms with disabled access.
The project also included a new office space for the headquarters of Chapter 1, a new conference centre and communal spaces for the students.
