Planning approval has been granted to demolish the existing entrance porch and to build a new side extension to the rear building, in conjunction with general interior refurbishment of the Church. The proposal seeks to upgrade and enhance the design and layout in order to help renew the worshipping life and mission of Ealing Green Church.
For the side extension, red and brown bricks in English bond is proposed on the external walls, matching the existing side walls of the Church. The new elevations are characterised by deep set back for the aluminium framed windows and doors in dark grey. Himley Ebony black brick panels in projecting bond add visual and textural interests. This contemporary detailing remain sympathetic in the context and towards the host building and other neighbouring buildings making it a positive contribution to the character of the Conservation Area.
